It was convention season again as 1990 began. We were humming "Another Day in Paradise" by Phil Collins (or maybe something by Michael Bolton). Patent Litigations were settled (we thought), and our Paving Stone Protection Treatment Program was launched.
The Berlin Wall was coming down. Communist China had crushed their people's desire for Freedom, but the heroic spectacle inspired others. "Winds of Change" by the Scorpions would become an anthem, but at home we were just trying to protect our newly patented products from bold infringement.
